Final Report

Your final written Newbery Book Report text should be at least 5 paragraphs.  Along with detail paragraphs covering characters, settings and plot, your introductory paragraph should include the theme and your concluding paragraph should include your opinion of the book and your persuasive argument for or against the book's status as a Newbery Award winner.

Your report should be double spaced and hand written in top quality cursive using a dark blue or black pen.  If you make an error, use white-out or put 1 line through the mistake.  Please don't use the backside of the paper.

Your finished report must also include a cover page and two hand-drawn, full color illustrations with captions.  Take your time and put forth your best effort on each - quality counts!  Choose any two from the following list:
  • the main character
  • the setting (either a scene or a map)
  • a significant event in the plot

Be sure to hand in your graded Report Outline with your Final Report - it will be used to make sure corrections have been made.  Points will be deducted if they are not handed in together.
